Terms of use
We list trips; other people run them. These terms set out what we are responsible for, what the operator is responsible for, and what happens to anything you send us.
Draft — last updated 28 August 2026
This is our own plain-language draft, written to say what we actually do. A lawyer has not reviewed it yet, so read it as a statement of intent and expect the wording to change before launch.
What this site is
Tour Canada Off-Season is a directory. We list shoulder-season packages run by independent operators, and we point travellers at the operators who run them. We are not a travel agency, not a tour operator, and not the seller of any trip you find here.
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell you travel. We take no payment, hold no deposits, and hold nothing in trust. Reading a listing, sending an enquiry or clicking through to an operator means these terms apply to you.
Booking with an operator
“Book with provider” hands you off to the operator’s own booking page. From that moment your contract is with them: their terms, their prices, their deposit and cancellation rules, and their obligations if something goes wrong. Read those terms before you pay — they are the ones that bind.
We have no part in the booking, cannot change it, cannot cancel it and cannot refund it. If a trip is moved, cut short or called off, the operator is who you talk to.
How we make money
When a booking comes from a click on this site, the operator may pay us a referral fee. It comes out of their margin, not your pocket: the price you are quoted is the same price you would be quoted going direct.
To attribute those referrals we set a first-party cookie when you press “Book with provider”. The privacy policy explains exactly what it holds.
Prices and conversions
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars, exactly as the operator supplies them. What is included, what is taxed and what is extra is set out on the operator’s own page.
Where we show an “approx.” figure in another currency, it is a courtesy conversion using European Central Bank reference rates. It is indicative only — not an offer, not a quote, and not what your card will be charged.
Listings and accuracy
Listing details come from the operators and their own published material. We check what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee that a package is still running, still at that price, or still has room on the dates you want. Treat a listing as a good lead, and let the operator confirm the details.
If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us at ferdous@hey.com and we will fix or remove it.
Enquiries
When you send an enquiry we pass it to the operator named on the listing. That is all it does: it is not a booking, not a hold on a place, and not a promise of a price. Whether they reply, and what they offer, is up to them.
What you send us
Sharing a place. Your words stay yours. By submitting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish them on this site, to edit lightly for length and clarity, and to keep them up while the site runs. We credit you by first name only.
Only send what is yours to give. Do not send photographs of identifiable people without their consent, and do not send anything false, defamatory, or copied from somebody else.
Listing a package. Submitting a package does not guarantee a listing — we review everything and publish what fits. By submitting you confirm you are entitled to represent that business.
We review submissions before publishing, and we may decline, edit or take down anything. You can ask us to remove yours at any time, and we will.
Using the site
- Browsing is free and needs no account. Use the site for planning your own travel, or for finding travellers if you run trips.
- Please do not scrape the listings in bulk, hammer the forms, or send fake enquiries. We rate-limit by IP and filter spam, so automated traffic is likely to be blocked rather than answered.
- The site’s own text, design and code are ours. Listing copy and photography belong to the operators, and shared stories to the people who wrote them.
What we can and cannot promise
We try to keep this directory accurate and available, and we will fix what we get wrong. But the site is provided as it is: we cannot promise it is complete, current, or uninterrupted.
Because we do not sell the trips, we are not responsible for what an operator does or fails to do — cancellations, changes, refunds, quality, safety, or anything that happens on the trip itself. Those are between you and them.
None of this limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived, wherever you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows — connected booking systems and live availability are on the way, and they will need saying properly. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there, and the Ontario courts are where disputes about them are heard. If you live somewhere with mandatory local consumer protections, this does not take them away from you.
